The Quarry is a new horror narrative game from 2K and Supermassive Games in which every choice you make changes your tale and determines who lives and who dies.
On the last day of Summer Camp, the teenage counsellors at Hackett’s Quarry decide to hold a party to celebrate. Things go wrong for them as blood-soaked locals and something “much more awful” convert a night of festivity into a night of terror.
So you’ve begun The Quarry and met your first local on your journey to Hackett’s Quarry. You should be careful with your words since he is a silent, anxious police officer who looks to be quick to rage. You’ve driven your car off the road, narrowly missing an accident or collision, and even had an odd encounter in the woods at this point.
However, you may be wondering if your actions will have any bearing on the future phases. Should Laura lie to the officer in the prologue of The Quarry?

Should Laura Lie to The Cop
While neither the decision affects the outcome of the prologue, being honest about what you saw before driving off the road and being submissive will raise the cop’s confidence, which will come into play later, whereas lying will lower it.
Laura’s instincts prevail, and she refuses to accept the man, who is far too mysterious to believe when he sends you to the ominously named Harbinger hotel. Regardless of your option, Max and Laura will travel to Hackett’s Quarry.
Don’t be too concerned about this decision. Even if you choose to lie, there are ways to keep it from impacting the outcome of the game later on. Remember that in a game where replayability derives from testing all conceivable outcomes, there is actually no incorrect response.
However, horror and general film fans may be pleased to learn that the officer is portrayed by Ted Raimi, filmmaker Sam Raimi’s brother and an actor who has starred in many roles throughout the Evil Dead trilogy, Spider-Man, and other films. And, without giving anything away, his character will return later on.
The Quarry, which will be released on Steam on June 10th, is now available for pre-order. The Quarry Guide includes further information on the game, its characters, and its dramatic gameplay.
