You will encounter Livvey just before the puzzle area. After killing all the Spacers while progressing through the Mantis quest, you will find a lone fellow. Talk to him, and you will get three choices.
Spare Livvey
If you pick the Betray Me And You Will Die option, then you have picked the option for Livvey to be spared. You won’t get anything from him, besides a fair warning of some enemies past the puzzle area. He won’t know the solution to the puzzle either, making this a useless choice to make.
Kill Livvey
If you choose to attack him, you can loot his body after killing him to get 1046 credits, a Brown Leather Jumpsuit, and Eon. He doesn’t have anything of value on him to loot, and he isn’t important to the storyline either. This will not affect your companions too, so you can pick this option if you want.
Ask Livvey to leave
You get a third option where you can ask him to leave. This will anger him and he will attack you. You can kill him and get the same outcome as the Attack choice above.
Which option to pick?
It won’t matter much which choice you make regarding Livvey, since he is not important to the game’s storyline. No one will miss his absence, and your companions won’t care either. He doesn’t offer any solution to the quest’s puzzle area, but if the loot on him is appealing to you, then you can kill him to get it.
