The past two months have not been the best gaming experience for Xbox Series X users as multiple games have had game-breaking issues on the device. Starting with the crash in NBA 2K, graphical bugs on CoD Vanguard, and now Riders Republic Crashing on Xbox Series X. Besides the three games, there have been reports of other games as well not performing as intended. The blame however cannot be put on Xbox, rather a poor optimization from the devs of the games, which was subsequently acknowledged by the devs.
In the case of the Riders Republic crashing on Xbox Series X, it has also been acknowledged by Ubisoft and the fix is one the works, but Ubisoft is still in the process of ascertaining the issue and hence, there is no ETA on the fix. Ubisoft Support tweeted confirming they are aware of the problem affecting Xbox Series X users and that they are investigating the issue. They also asked a bunch of questions to understand the root cause of the problem better. Here is the Tweet from the Ubisoft Support.
Riders Republic crashing is the main concern for players at the moment, but there are other bugs as well such as the Riders Republic bunny outfit missing for some users. The bunny outfit is part of the preorder pack of the game and has recently disappeared after the patch for the game when it went live.
Update: For players who are concerned about the Bunny outfit, it’s not a bug. The costume was taken out intentionally by Ubisoft while they work on a related bug.
As for the crash, it seems to mostly occur during the mass races, but can and does also occur randomly while playing other game modes. Zen mode so far seems to be the least affected. So, you can avoid mass races in an attempt to avoid the bug while Ubisoft works on a solution. We hope that it does not take long before the problem is resolved.
