With the release of Overwatch 2 earlier this month, Blizzard has been hit with problems ranging from outages due to DDoS attacks to players who are unable to access the heroes they had previously unlocked. Undoubtedly, the relaunch of Blizzard’s hero shooter has been troubled. Players are not pleased with the account merging issue or the way the game’s main menu looks, and they are not pleased either. In addition, there seem to be several server issues taking place.
In order to apologize for these issues, Blizzard will be hosting Double XP weekends and giving out free skins sometime soon. Let’s see when players can expect this compensation gift in this guide.

Double XP and Free Skins
Blizzard has offered a free Reaper skin to all players to compensate for the game’s instability. They will also have double XP weekends and a Health Pack weapon charm coming soon.
Starting October 25th, you can download the Cursed Captain legendary Reaper skin for free if you’re an Overwatch 2 Reaper main. You’ll also receive a health pack weapon charm for your favorite Overwatch 2 hero – regardless of whether you play as a Reaper main or not.
Blizzard has not announced when the first double match XP weekend will occur, but we can guess it’ll arrive sometime around when the free Reaper Skin is given out. Many players are dissatisfied with this update and have a lot of other complaints. Some criticize the changes to the Battle Pass and even the new policies adopted for skins in stores.
Although, we’ll update you soon if anything comes out. Till then, check our other articles to give you more detailed information about the game.
