The Fonos Basin Treasure is one of the exploration codexes you can find in the Fonos Basin in Throne and Liberty. In this guide, you’ll discover how to start the The Fonos Basin Treasure quest, defeat enemies, and locate the Fonos Basin Treasure Map in Throne and Liberty.
The Fonos Basin Treasure quest in Thorne and Liberty
To start the codex, first make your way to the location of the Orc Shaman. To locate the Orc Shaman, players should head to his area in Fonos Basin then talk to the treasure hunter in the area. He mentions that the Orc Shaman has a treasure map and a key, but he feels the Shaman is too strong for him to take on. Be prepared to fight other orcs along the way, but you can use your skills to handle these encounters.
The map from the Mystery Chest shows just a small part of the landscape along with a brief note. The Fonos Basin Treasure is situated beneath the Boonstone. You can see this location on the map above. It’s fairly close, so you should be able to get there easily. Once you arrive at the Orc Shaman’s location, you’ll need to battle him. After taking him down, be sure to collect the key and the treasure map he possesses.
Once you have those, head northeast from Fonos Basin. There, you’ll come across a mysterious chest waiting to be opened. Use the treasure key you just obtained to unlock the chest and reveal another map inside. If you want to avoid engaging with the nearby orcs, you can transform into an Orc Brawler, which will help you pass by without a fight. With the new map in hand, follow its directions to the marked location. Make sure to wait for nightfall, as the treasure will only appear during this time. Once the night arrives, the hidden treasure will be revealed.
If you’d like to bypass more confrontations, you can transform back into an Orc Brawler. This is very convenient in the case of getting rid of a territory occupied by orcs. It requires an Orc Brawler to avoid the battles and get a good position to be able to cross through to the target place without any problems. Once the night has passed, players must return to the location they believe that the treasure can be found. Doing so will enable them to gain a disguise among the orcs close by, hence making their probability of being attacked much lower. This brilliant move enables players to focus more on finding treasures and not start unnecessary battles.
After overcoming challenges and waiting for nightfall, players will arrive at the hidden treasure location indicated on their map. When they get there, they’ll find a chest filled with Precious Magic Powder, which is their reward for completing the quest.
