You can find this boss while making your way to the Upper Calrath plaza.

Spurned Progeny Fight Preparation

It is best to use spells and ranged weapons here, as there are times where you cannot reach the boss to deal melee damage. Embedding your weapons with holy salts can help lower its health quicker

Spurned Progeny Fight Guide

There are three stages to the Spurned Progeny fight

Stage 1

Quickly approach the legs of the Spurned Progeny and keep hitting it with your weapon.
It will try to body slam you or swipe at you, you can avoid these moves by rolling and dodging.
If you keep to the side of its leg, then you can avoid the body slam move
It will also try to claw swipe in front of it, but it can be dodged quickly

Stage 2

When its health is down 75%, it will trigger a small scene where the boss will start to regurgitate lava
Quickly make it up the stairs at the edge of the arena to avoid it. You have to fight it from above now
This is where ranged attacks can quickly bring its health down
If you are playing melee, then wait for it to swipe with its claws, then attack the arm
It will also spawn a claw from its mouth. You can anticipate it when it bends down at eye level
The claw will come in succession of three, after the third appearance take a couple swipes at it before it disappears.
It can also spew lava balls that will drop randomly around you and explode. When you spot it, run to the other side of the arena
It will also lean back and produce a large ball of fire. Run towards the broken walls around the arena for cover and avoid the explosion

Stage 3

When its health is less than half, it will trigger stage three
There is only one move that it will perform, where it will produce a large ball of fire like in stage 2
When you see it lean back and produce the fire ball, run and take cover behind the wall
After the animation is over, quickly jump down and hit its legs. The lava pool will be gone by now
It will restart the animation after a while, so climb up the stairs again and take cover
Repeat these steps till the Spurned Progeny is dead
