To use the Amiibo, you need to first clear the tutorial where you have to defeat the Agnian soldiers. You can now scan your Amiibo by going to the Pause menu by pressing X, heading to System, and selecting Amiibo. After that, head over to the Characters tab. Under here, select Clothing and press Y to open the Attachments menu. Scroll through till you can find and select Monado. You can now equip this skin on any character that has Swordfighting class. In case you are scanning a Collectible Set after you are done scanning, exit the menu and you will find all the items scattered across the ground for you to pick up.
You can scan up to three different Amiibo per day, so even if you have two or more similar Amiibo, you will have to scan them on different days to get the rewards.
