The Nissan R390 GT1 from 1998 is among the most legendary race cars that can be unlocked within Forza Horizon 6. Built to take part in long-distance races, the Nissan vehicle is characterised by its outstanding exterior design with amazing performance features, which makes it a great car to add to your collection. The R390 GT1 will become available only after you have progressed within the Discover Japan campaign. In this guide, we’ll tell you how to unlock the Nissan R390 GT1 (1998) in FH6.

How to Unlock the Nissan R390 GT1 (1998)

Nissan R390 (GT1) (1998) can be collected via a Barn Find Rumour in Forza Horizon 6. In order to activate this rumour, you have to obtain a Purple Stamp through the Discover Japan storyline mission. When the necessary stamp is earned, the Barn Find Rumour will be activated, and the game will mark the search area on your map. After exploring the indicated region, you will find the hidden barn and collect the rare GT1 race car.

The Nissan Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R (1998) Barn Find is unlocked once you have achieved the Pathfinder level for the Takashiro area. After the rumour about the location has been unlocked, go to the eastern area of the search and find an area surrounded by a forest with a unique shape, which will be that of a U. The barn will be located in this area amidst the trees.

Even though it is old and broken, it has a very retro futuristic design, making it a very good sleeper build upon upgrade. Once you have found this car, it will be taken by the mechanic for restoration. This leaves you with two choices:

  • Wait for the restoration to finish naturally while playing the game for free
  • Instantly restore the car yourself using credits

The instant repair is very cheap. Once repaired, the Nissan Pao is added to your garage and ready to drive in the game.
