Fishing is a new activity you can do in Throne and Liberty. Here’s a guide on how to start fishing in the game.

Fishing in Throne and Liberty isn’t just about catching fish for food. You can also find valuable items and materials that you can use to craft powerful weapons and armor. In this guide, we’ll teach you how to fish, where to find fishing gear, and what rewards you can expect.

How to Unlock Fishing in Throne and Liberty

There are two ways to start fishing in Throne and Liberty:

  • Buy a fishing rod: You can buy a fishing rod from the Contract Merchant for 300 Contract Coins.
  • Complete an expedition: You can get a fishing rod as a reward for completing your first Amitoi Expedition.

To start fishing, you’ll need a bamboo stick and some fishing bait. You can buy a bamboo stick and a pack of 50 fishing baits from the Contract Coin Merchant for 300 Contract Coins. You can only buy one pack per day. You can also find fishing bait by hunting or gathering.

Another way to get a fishing rod is by completing your first Amitoi Expedition. In an Amitoi Expedition, you send your Amitoi characters on a journey to explore different areas of the map. They won’t be available to summon while they’re on an expedition. When they return, they’ll bring back items like crafting materials. After completing your first expedition, go to Adventurer Pro Percy in Kastleton to report your success. As a reward, he’ll give you a free fishing rod.

Buying a fishing rod from the Contract Coin Merchant is a quick way to get started, but it will cost you Contract Coins. Completing an Amitoi Expedition is free but takes longer.

To build a good-quality fishing rod, one must acquire a special material called Nature’s Jade that can be obtained through playing different parts of the game.

Saurodoma Island is where you have the best luck to catch high-tier fish, but such fish are pretty hard to catch. It is also said that you can catch rare Aurora starfish there at night. To obtain a Pouch, send Amitios to Daybreak Shore.

Rewards for Fishing

The more fish you catch, the better you’ll become at fishing. You can see your fishing level and other skills on your character page. The higher your level, the more likely you are to catch bigger fish. Sometimes, you might catch a chest while fishing that contains valuable items. You can also use the fish you catch to cook special dishes.

Sometimes, you’ll find Sacks while fishing. These Sacks contain items that you can use later in the game. At first, you’ll only find small Sacks. Here are some things you might find in Sacks.

  • Trait Unlockstone
  • Sollant
  • Crafting Materials
  • Archboss Material Fragments

How to Fish in in Throne and Liberty

To start fishing, equip your rod and bait in your character inventory. You can do this by right-clicking on them. Go to a lake or sea, and select the fishing icon on your skill bar. Press F to cast your line.

Throw your fishing line into the water and wait for a fish to bite. When a fish bites, a message will appear on your screen. You’ll then see two bars: a green one and an orange one. The green bar represents your fishing stamina, and the orange bar represents the fish’s stamina. If you time your actions correctly, you can reduce the fish’s stamina bar and make it easier to catch. Once the fish’s stamina is completely depleted, you can reel it in and add it to your inventory.
