Get into the Witch’s house:

While leaving Brok’s shop near Tyr’s Temple, near the Lake of Nine, turn right and go down the stairs. Take your boat into the canyon found near the statue of Thor, southwest of the lake. When you reach, get out of the boat and use Atreus’ shock arrows on the World Tree Sap. Turn the crank near the elevator to use it. Once you reach the top, get off and keep going forward. There will be a World Tree sap obstacle on your right, use your shock arrows again on it and get rid of any enemies. Go through the opening that you have created.

Get the Muspelheim cypher:

You will come across a chest that has a part of the Muspelheim cipher. Break the seal of the Nornir Chest, you can find it in the hole in the wall that’s adjacent to the entrance. Take note of this area as you would need to come back here again. Travel to the main path, head right, and jump down on the ledge.

Take a left turn here when you get down and break the second Nornir chest seal on the left when you exit the room. On your right will be a large gap that you cannot cross, use Atreus’ light arrow and fire at the crystal over the gap. It will create a bridge that you can cross, also note the Nornir chest while you pass. If you were successful in breaking the other two seals, you would only find one left in front of the chest.

The Final Chest Seal:

After you have crossed the chest, get hold of the Shatter Crystal from the cache that’s on the path, take aim and throw it directly at the World Tree sap that’s hanging on the wall. Also, use Atreus’ shock arrows to destroy it. After getting into the room and getting rid of all the monsters, grab the treasure chest and break the final seal. It is situated on the top left of the room you are in. Go back to open the Nornir Chest. Go back to the room where you found the last seal, walk up to the gate on your left and open it.

The Sand Bowl:

While going through the gate, you will notice there is a large trolley that you can move out on the right side of the room. You can use this to place Atreus in it and move across the ends of the room. Break the boards that you can spot high up on the wall on your right and throw your axe on them to break it. Get Atreus through this hole. After he is inside, move the trolley so that it is positioned in front of him so that he can use it to climb on top. Drag the trolley to the other side, break the boards again so that he can jump off.

Look around and you will spot a sand bowl on a pedestal, on the left from where the trolley was. Look left of the sand bowl and then up at the ceiling. Break the boards up there, ask Atreus to read the runes, then activate the bowl. This will lower the sand bowl. Jump across the gap onto the sand bowl platform, you will see a chest on the right. Open the chest to get the rewards.

Complete the Witch’s Cave puzzle:

Go back to the room where you encountered and broke off the first Nornir Chest seal. Keep walking straight from the entrance and climb up the shaft. You will be led back to the forest, which also leads to the Witch’s house entrance.

With this, you complete the Witch’s cave puzzle and get Kratos and Atreus out of there. Keep moving forward to complete the rest of the quests in God of War.
