Iron Fist Alexander is a large talking Pot and goes by Pot Boy or Warrior Jar. He is a friendly NPC who you can find on your travels. The first time you will spot him is in Stormhill, by heading north from Agheel Lake North Site of Grace. After freeing him, he will express his desire to become a great warrior. You can find him again in Gael Tunnel, between Limgrave and Caelid. Talk to him and he will tell you how he wishes to take part in a festival at Redmane Castle and to find him there later on. Head over to Redmane Castle in Caelid to trigger the battle with Starscrouge Radahn. Before you head in, you can find Alexander near Starscrouge Radahn’s Site of Grace, where you talk to him once more. If you haven’t encountered him before, you should talk to him now before advancing to the fight, or else you will not be able to complete his questline. After exhausting all the dialogs, start the battle and summon Alexander to help you. It is not necessary to summon him, as you can continue his questline without his help, but he is a fun addition to the boss battle.
Once you have completed the festival, head over to Liurnia of the Lakes to find Alexander stuck again. You can find him by heading south of the Artist’s Shack Site of Grace, near Carian Study Hall. Follow his voice till you can find him glued to the ground again. He will ask you to make him slippery, so you should have some roped or regular oil pots on you. We have an entire guide on finding oil pots in Elden Ring. After freeing him, he will tell you about his hometown, Jarburg, and how he will be visiting there. You can follow him to Jarburg, which will be part of Diallos’ questline as well as home to Jar Bairn.
Next, you can encounter him in Mt. Gelmir, near the Seethewater Terminus Site of Grace. You can find this south of Fort Laiedd. If you can spot the Magma Wyrm here, you can find the lava lake beside it where Alexander is sitting. You do not have to go near him, as standing on the rock closest to him will suffice to interact with him. He will tell you how he has come here to make himself stronger and to bake his exterior in the heat of the lava pool. He will hand over a Jar helmet that he has crafted for you. You can now make your way to the Fire Giant boss fight, where Alexander can be summoned to help you if you wish.

Finally, you will have to fight Alexander to the death. Your last stop to find him and engage in a duel is in Crumbling Farum Azula. You will need two Stonesword Keys to unlock the imp statue and gain access to the Dragon Temple Lift. Use the lift and head up the flight of stairs past the area of the undead, then take a right turn till you see two archways. Take the left archway to the other side to find Alexander in the arena. He will say he wishes to test his strength and orders you to fight him. If you lose or leave the arena, he will always be here till you fight him. Upon Alexander’s defeat, you will receive Alexander’s Innards and Warrior Jar Shard, a talisman that can strengthen Ashes of War. After this, his questline will be complete and you will not find Alexander again.
While doing Diallos’ questline, you can hand over the innards to Jar Bairn towards the end of the quest as a good luck charm.
