Elden Ring is From Software’s latest crown jewel. The game mashed a 10/10 rating from possibly every reviewer. And being a Souls-like game, this game shares a lot of enemies, traits, and characters with the famous series. The undying skeletons are no exception. We have seen them in previous Souls games, and they have resurfaced in Elden Ring.
But, there is a catch. The way to defeat them keeps evolving with every Souls-like game from From Software. The original Dark Souls required the player to kill a Necromancer, someone who practices black magic to communicate the deceased and could foresee the future. But, in the latest Dark Souls game, Dark Souls 3, the process was simplified and you just needed to beat them twice. Elden Ring takes this and simplifies it a bit further.
Where Will You Find Undying Skeletons?
The Undying Skeletons are mostly found around graveyards and ruined villages. Since The Lands Between are filled with ruins, you will find them everywhere in this area. They can get excessively annoying at times and will not leave your trail. Although you can still technically run away from a group of them, they cause more problems if they turn up during a boss fight.
While you are in the game, look out for bony fingers emerging from the ground. This usually suggests that a skeleton is forming, and they will attack you once formed. They will follow your trail even if you are riding a mount, and almost do not want to leave your trail no matter what.
How to Kill the Undying Skeletons Permanently?
Probably the most annoying aspect of skeletons is that they keep reforming after you think you put an end to them. They keep on doing this, and thus it is easy for you the player to get frustrated and annoyed. But, there is one way to kill them permanently.
To begin with, you need to beat the Undying Skeletons for once. After they are dead, they will start reforming once again. After a few of their bones have reformed, you will find they will start glowing. This is your chance to attack. Give the glowing spot on the undead a few whacks with your weapon, and that will stop them from reviving.
Elden Ring also has another way to kill the Undead. If you manage to get into the hub area of the game, which is called the Roundtable Hold, you can meet a character named Hewg. Hewg is a blacksmith. He can upgrade your weapon with an occult effect that will help you beat the undead even faster.
That is how you can put an end to the Undead Skeletons. Happy slaying!
There are other skeletons in the game where this is not true. White ninja ones. Update your post. No one is looking for the normal skeleton death method.
If you are talking about the Mage skeletons that glow, you need to kill the Mage in order to kill the skeletons.
