God Of War Ragnarok: How to Kill Modvitnir’s Rig Ormr

The God of War series has a new game and it’s called God of War Ragnarok. In this guide, we will take you through the process of how to kill Modvitnir’s Rig Ormr in God of War Ragnarok.

God Of War Ragnarok: How to Kill Modvitnir’s Rig Ormr

Ormr are nonhostile creatures that you will come across in the wild as you are exploring the world of God of War Ragnarok. They will not attack you, but will run away when they spot you by digging into the ground. Which is quite annoying, considering you mean to kill them for the loot they drop.

God of War Ragnarok’s Ormr will drop crafting materials which are very useful resources, so you should try to figure out how to kill each one you see. Some of them are like puzzles, so you will need to think out of the box in order to kill them.

While you are in the process of doing God of War Ragnarok’s first Favor called In Service Of Asgard, you will spot an Ormr on Modvitnir’s Rig. They have a very distinct barking or squeaking sound, which you will be able to recognize from a distance. Look through some wooden planks to see the Ormr. However, you won’t be able to attack it from this angle.

Use your Axe to open up the gate on the route ahead and jump to climb up the wooden structure. Once you are at the top, you will come across some Wild Wretches that you need to take out. After that’s done, you will be able to see the Ormr from this new location. This is a much better angle to throw your Axe and kill it.

Once your Axe has made its mark, you will be able to kill the beast, earning 100 Kratos XP and 33 Atreus XP. Dropping down to check the loot, you will find the following items:

  • Rawhide
  • Forged Iron
  • Slag Deposit
  • 4 Shattered Rune
