Saints Row is situated in the fictitious city of Santo Ileso, in the American southwest, and is largely modelled on Las Vegas, Nevada. The player-character, “The Boss,” a former member of Marshall Defense Industries, gathers disgruntled members of various gangs to establish a new group and gain control over them.
Being the boss of your own gang requires a lot more than just fists and an intimidating presence–you’re going to need to be able to take a few hits and persevere. With only three health bars at the start of the game, you will need to find ways to increase your health if you want to make it through the game.
This guide will teach you how to upgrade your Maximum Health in Saints Row.

Increasing Maximum Health in Saints Row
When you first begin playing Saints Row, you’ll see that your health is broken into three segments. So it’s important to be more careful and not just pick fights or run toward bosses. Though it may take some time, working on increasing your maximum health will pay off–you’ll have double the health segments in no time.
As you progress through Saints Row and gain more XP, you’ll level up and be able to improve your stats as well as unlock some perks. Gaining certain levels will also give you another health segment.
In order to level up quickly and increase your health in Saints Row, you need to do activities to gain experience points. The good news is that almost everything you do in the game gives some XP, such as driving recklessly, doing stunts, killing enemies, and completing missions. A six-sectioned health bar will also allow you to better combat and control the city of Santo Illeso.
