How to Heal in Valheim
To heal in Valheim, you can either console berries and meat or unlock the craft to make potions. Here are the various ways to restore health in the game.
Improve the Comfort Rating of Home
You can improve the comfort level of the home by investing time in building a comfortable home with furniture and other stuff. You can add items such as Shelter, fireplaces, banners, braziers, rugs, and chairs to the home to improve the comfort level. Players who sleep in homes with higher comfort level get a boost to health and stamina.
Minor Health Potion
There are various types of potions in the game that can restore health. One of them is called the Minor Health Potion and restores 3.3 health per second for 30 seconds. To make the potion, you need resources such as 1 Mushroom, 1 Blueberries, and 1 Dandelion.
Besides the resources, Cauldron and fire beneath is required to make potions in the game. The Cauldron can be unlocked when you smelt Tin Ore. Open the Cauldron interface and click on Craft to make the mead base. Use the mead base in the Fermenter to get the Minor Healing Potion. It should take about 15 minutes or so.
Medium Healing Potion
For all potions, you require the Cauldron over the fire and then, you can use the interface to craft the potion. The mead base has to be fermented at the Fermenter. For medium healing, you require resources such as 10 Honey, 4 Bloodbag, 10 Raspberries, and 1 Dandelion. Once you have the resources, simply click on Craft. Brew the mead base in the Fermenter and you are good to go.
Berries and Cooked Meat
Eating batteries and other forms of food also heals the character overtime. It does not provide instant heal like with potions, but is still a great way to heal. You can find berries all around the map and are quite easy to find. You can pick them of bushes as you go on quests and in hunt of resources. While, getting the meat is not as easy as you will have to kill animals, who are often very aggressive.
Raspberries are particularly plentiful in the game and you can recognize them by the name when you point to it. They are red and easily identifiable on bushes.
Consuming meat requires a lot of work. First, you have to kill the animal such as a deer or boar. Then, to cook the animal, you have to create a campfire and a cooking station. When going hunting for animals, ensure that your ranged attacks are honed, melee attacks can get more damage done.
Other food items with healing property is are the mushrooms that can be found in the dungeons. They respawn, so you can get loads of them there.
So, at the current development stage, these are the various ways to heal yourself in Valheim.
