Where to Find Living Jar Shards in Elden Ring
The crafting mechanism in Elden Ring is used to create items that will be useful in combat and in exploring the vast game map. Crafting requires you to collect ingredients as you explore, so it’s a good idea to pick up everything you see as long as you have inventory space, as you never know when you’re going to need them.

Crafting materials can be used in crafting or sold to merchants for some extra Runes. Living Jar Shard is one such material that you will find but it might take a bit more effort to farm them for your needs. These materials are used to create Ironjar Aromatics which is a consumable used to boost defense by using the player’s FP. You can collect the Perfumer’s Cookbook [3] to get the recipe for it, which is 3 Living Pot Shards, 2 Altus Blooms, and 1 Budding Cave Moss.
You will need to kill Living Jars to collect their Living Jar Shards. As they’re sentient creatures found in the wild you will need to approach and kill them to collect their drops. Living Jars can be easily killed with melee weapons, but you need to find them first. Stormveil Castle will have some of them, just before the area where Godrick the Grafted spawns. They can be found around the Raya Lucaria Academy and the Jarburg later in the game. You will find a cluster of these creatures at the Secluded Cell Site of Grace, however there will be a Living Pot coming to their aid. Kill all the enemies to take your Living Jar Shards.
