Pokemon players are used to with the TMs or Technical Machines that are found throughout the world. Every Pokemon series game features some TMs, but in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players can get numerous TMs to get help during battles. This guide will help you know about the Ice Beam TM and its location in Pokemon Scalet and Violet.
Ice Beam TM Location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet- How to Find?
If you have been playing Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet, you probably have collected a few TMs already and crafted those respective abilities. TM or Technical Machines are abilities that need to be crafted after unlocking them. So, Ice Beam also follows the same way. Players first need to find it and then craft the Ice Beam ability.
Generally, TMs in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can be found on the overworld, of course, with some exceptions. Fortunately, Ice Beam doesn’t fall into the exceptions. So, players can easily find this TM at a few locations in the Paldea Region. Below we have marked one location on the map to make it easier for the players-
As you can see, it is the East Province (Area One), exactly next to the Great Crater of Paldea. There’s a cliff in that area, and the Pokeball having Ice Beam will be found there. So, next, you have to climb the hills. Well, your Koraidon or Miraidon doesn’t have the climbing ability as a default one. You can only get it after you defeat the False Dragon Titan. Alternatively, North Province (Area One) also has Ice Beam TM, but you need the swimming ability for it as the TM is on an island.
If you already have the ability, climbing the cliff won’t be hard, and once you climb, you’ll get the Yellow glowing Pokeball in front of you at a little distance. Pick it up, and the Ice Beam TM will be unlocked to craft.
Now, to craft the TM, you need some elements. Without them, you can’t craft the ability. So, first, gather 3 Delibird Parcels, 3 Shellder Pearl, 5 Cryogonal Ice, and 100000 LP. Once all these things are collected, visit any Pokemon Center and go to the Green side of it. There you’ll find the TM Machine that you can interact with to craft the Ice Beam Ability.
The description of the Ice Beam ability says The target is struck with an icy-cold beam of energy. Also, it can leave the target frozen. So, you can easily guess that this TM will help your Pokemon to freeze the opponent; but there’s a twist. Initially, the chances are only 10% of freezing the opponent, while if you freeze the enemy the first time, the chance increases to 20% after each successful turn.
That’s all you need to know about how to get Ice Beam in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Ice Beam ability can be given to almost every Pokemon because it is one of the most versatile abilities in the games.
