Withering Zones are zones of rot and decay found scattered across the rainforest regions of Sumeru. They are difficult to clear as they require you to have a strong team, a dedicated healer, and constant use of Dendrograna. Players will often come across these in their daily exploration and adventures in Genshin Impact’s Sumeru, which was recently released in Version 3.0.
Budding Withering Zones in Genshin Impact 3.0
Budding Withering Zones can be detected through Seed Mirror Towers located across the land of Sumeru. You’ll usually find these atop cliffsides or mountain peaks of Sumeru- any place that gives you an eagle’s eye view of the surrounding regions. You’ll find them marked on the map of Sumeru itself as small green circular markers with a red rectangular shape within them.
Once you reach these Seed Mirror Towers you’ll have to unlock them by solving simple surrounding mechanisms- usually, you’ll need to activate 4 Dendro pillars nearby to open the gateway required to climb the tower. Once you reach up you can activate these Seed Mirrors by simply interacting with them and using its viewfinder to look at your surroundings.
Budding Withering zones will be marked by black smoke through the lens and they’ll persist even after you exit the Mirror’s viewfinder. You can then use surrounding Four-Leaf Sigils to reach these two spots one by one easily.
To clear the budding Tumors of the Withering, you’ll have to defeat the surrounding monsters and then interact with the Tumor to clear it. Thankfully this whole ordeal doesn’t require you to use Dendrograna, so you don’t have to look for them.
Clearing each Buddding Withering zone will also give you a chest as a reward. Players can also unlock the Tower and come back later to clear the surrounding Budding Withering zones later.
