You can earn Gold in several ways in the game, one of which is to fight battles. There are various types of matches, and some of them will give you bigger payouts. Make sure to choose which one you’d like to play based on your need for Gold. The Arcade mode will give you the most Gold of all the modes as you’ll earn upto 3,960 gold for completing eight matches.
If you choose Story mode, you will receive 2,300 gold for every character story that you complete. There are a lot of battles and cutscenes in a story, so this will also cost you more time. If you want to get cash quickly without bothering too much about the narrative of the game, you should pick Arcade mode.
The Free Battle mode will also get you some Gold for each battle that you play against the PC. It is only 160 Gold, but it can add up quickly with each victory. To check your earnings, you will need to go back to your main menu and check the counter at the top of the screen to see how much you’ve racked up.
