DNF Duel has similar mechanics to the Dungeon and Fighter franchise, but some gameplay might seem confusing to newer players. In this guide we will see what HP, MP, and Conversion do in DNF Duel.
DNF Duel HP, MP, and Conversion Explained
DNF Duel is finally released, but for new players, there are some mechanics which don’t make sense. Here we will explain what HP, MP, and Conversion does in DNF Duel.
Most players will know how HP and MP works, as it is similar to most video games. HP pertains to the max health your character can have. Every time your character takes physical damage, it will reduce some of its red bar. HP cannot be recovered during the game, so any hit you take will reduce it. MP, on the other hand, will reduce every time you block an attack. The white bar above your character indicates how much MP you currently own. Every time you block the opponent and don’t take any physical damage, your MP will reduce.
There is a way to increase your MP if it goes down. If you have been using the block skill and not taken any damage, your HP should be higher than your MP. This is where Conversion comes in. You can convert your HP into MP to help raise it, and conversion can also help in canceling any move and create combo attacks. Converting HP to MP is crucial, as using up too much MP can cause Exhaustion, which limits your character’s abilities to effectively use moves. While MP can regenerate, the pace will be slower than using Conversion.
