The Countess’ choice of weapon is her blood soaked sword, as well as spawning her Bloodsworn Spearwomen minions to defend her. She will appear when you step into the middle of her lair.
- At the start of the battle, The Countess will swing her sword at you, which can be dodged easily. Or you can push past that and put in a couple of attacks.
- She has a couple of AOE attacks up her sleeve, which you will be notified of by the red circle on the floor. Quickly move away from the area as these deal high damage.
- Ranged and magic users can put in a couple of shots on her while she is summoning her AOE attacks, as there is a small window where she isn’t attacking.
- Once the first portion of The Countess’ health is down, she will switch back to her primary attacks.
- She will also summon her minions to defend her, and you will have to take them down first or else you will be overpowered. Also, avoiding the Countess during this time will be safer for you, as she will initiate her AOE attacks once you get too close to her.
- Around this time, The Countess will summon red lines on the floor. If you touch them, you will be dealt with massive damage. The only way to get rid of them is to defeat her.
- During her second phase, she has one additional attack stacked with her previous attacks. She will jump up into the air and slam down hard, summoning a swarm of blood bats. Avoid the area when she launches herself, and be on the move to take out the bats one by one.
- Try to get behind her at all times to put in some hits while avoiding her AOE attacks. You can quickly deplete her health this way and defeat her.
Once the Countess is defeated, you will have a chance of receiving any of the following loot:
- Mountebank’s Slyness Boots or Storm-Tack of Shal’baas Belt (Hell I +)
- Issatar’s Open Hand or Wisdom’s Edge Amulet (Hell II +)
- The Prisoner Ring or Shepherd and Father Ring (Hell IV +)
These items are gotten at random, so it is not guaranteed you will get all the items on the list. The rewards are also dependent on your skill level as well.
