You can come across Mad Tongue Alberich while exploring the Roundtable Hold, especially after jumping off the balcony that overlooks the chamber there and heading towards the large door. He is an NPC invader, meaning he would randomly appear if you step into his lair.
Mad Tongue Alberich’s main moves are using his freeze magic and slashes with his scythe. You should try to avoid getting hit by either since it will inflict Bleed and Frozen effects. Most of his attacks can be easily avoidable if you keep moving and dodging. Below are some ways to beat him.
- Once he starts spawning, head behind or beside him and put in a couple of jabs from your melee weapon. Since Mad Tongue Alberich will take time to charge up his initial attacks, this is the best time to attack.
- Wait till he is done dealing with his combo attacks, then get in some melee or ranged attacks at him.
- As mentioned earlier, avoid his scythe and magic attacks at all cost, as once you are frozen, it is hard to move and he can easily take you down.
- Timing is everything, and you can easily anticipate his attack animation. His projectiles will be slow, so you can easily perform a lunge attack after he is done or while he is preparing to cast.
- Rolling and dodging away from him after you have landed some blows will help you not get caught up in his spells or scythe.
- He will heal himself using an HP Flask when is halfway down, but you can continue doing your attacks since he only has one flask on him.
- Use range attacks or spells at mid-range to avoid getting caught up in his projectile spells and scythe attacks.
Once you have successfully defeated him, you will get Taunter’s Tongue, which will allow other players to invade your world, regardless of if you are playing solo or at a party. You can activate it after you have the Furlcalling Finger Remedy. You will also get 3 Festering Bloody Finger as reward drops.
