The upcoming RPG title Elden Ring is a survival game that follows the player in their quest to restore the titular Elden Ring and ultimately become the Elden Lord. It releases on 25th February, and has numerous bosses and enemies that the player needs to defeat. This guide will take you through the process of beating the Stonedigger Troll in Elden Ring.
Kill Stonedigger Troll in Elden Ring
The Stonedigger Troll is one of the bosses that are optional, but it’s very much recommended as the benefits are great. You need to visit a mine in Elden Ring to upgrade your weapons with the help of Smithing Stone Shards, but the monster will be guarding it. It might be a difficult fight so make sure to be prepared. For your troubles you’ll also receive a Dragonscale Blade.

The boss Stonedigger Troll lives in the mines of Limgrave Tunnels which has plenty of Glinstone Scrap as well that you can collect.
Offensive Strategy
Stealth and combat skills will come in handy here. Sneak up behind the monster and nab a couple of hits before avoiding his attacks by rolling to the side.
If you’ve been hitting the monster for a while, you’ll notice their weakest point is at the legs. Dealing damage there will make the Troll stumble and keel over.
Use a critical hit on the Stonedigger Troll when he falls forward.
Defensive Strategy
The Stonedigger Troll hits hard, and while it might seem to be difficult to dodge in the small room, it’s pretty straightforward. Melee is your best bet, so make sure to keep your defenses up.
Keep an eye out for his foot crushing attack by backing away or rolling over to his other foot to avoid it. It takes away quite a lot of HP so it’s good to have a Flask or two on hand to replenish your health.
Bosses can be hard to defeat, but with a little bit of help you’re well on your way to finishing the game. Check out our guide on How to Beat Godrick the Golden Boss Fight in Elden Ring.
