During the quest for The Shadow of the Study, you have to help Ominis and Sebastian gain access to the Scriptorium. Once you start making your way through the dungeons, you will come across locked grill gates with strange symbols in front of it. Here we will see how to open Slytherin Locks in Hogwarts Legacy.

Luckily, this puzzle is relatively easy to solve. When you first encounter the puzzle, you should take note of the two symbols on the gate, and also note the position. Right beside the gate is a snake resting on top of two ruins. You need to activate the ruins and turn them to match the symbols shown above and below.
Once you have completed that one, you have to find two more to progress through the quest. The second grilled gate can be found right beside the first one. Turn around from the first gate and go back, then take a right into the passage. When you encounter the second grill gate, you won’t find the snake and the ruins beside it. Rather go to the left side and you will find a partially opened grill gate. Go underneath it to find the ruins, then match the symbol to unlock it.
For the final Slytherin Lock puzzle, go through the second gate to find the last and final puzzle. Then go back to gate 1 and take the stairs up. You will find the ruins at the landing below, on the left side.
