Gloomhaven launched on Steam yesterday after an extensive early access period. The game is a turn-based RPG, a digital depiction of the popular board based game. Gloomhaven has been a massive hit with close to 5000 positive reviews. Naturally, when the game came out of early access a lot of eager fans jumped to play the game, which is causing problems with the server. If you are used to playing multiplayer games, you know that issues such as these are common within the first few days of launch. Keep reading and we will detail to you everything about the Gloomhaven multiplayer error Session not found and what the devs said.
Devs Acknowledge Gloomhaven Session Not found Error in Multiplayer
If you attempt to host a multiplayer session or try to join another player’s, you will get the Gloomhaven “Session not sound” error. It’s a widespread issue with the game at the time. And the devs have acknowledged the issue saying it’s caused by the large of unexpected players who joined the game.
It is not uncommon for games with the multiplayer feature to struggle as a large number of players join the game. Here is what the devs shared in a Steam discussion,
“Hi guys, thanks for letting us know! As you indeed noticed, we’re having multiplayer hosting issues because there is so much more of you joining than what we expected.
(And that’s wonderful.)
We’re working on it right now! We will do our best to get it all resolved as soon as possible.
Thanks for your understanding and your patience!”
While we do not have an ETA on the fix, it is reassuring that the devs are at least aware of the issue and working on fixing them. As you wait for the multiplayer of the game to be patched and the servers brought to seed, you can check for updates at the Twitter handle for the game.
