Genshin Impact is about to drop Sumeru with Version 3.0 so we thought we’d take a look at some of the Inazuman 5-star characters before meeting our first 4-star and 5-star Dendro characters Inazuma had some of the greatest 5-star characters so this list couldn’t be made fairly if we also included the 4-stars. The 5-star Inazuma characters deserved their own tier list.
5-Star Inazuman Characters Tier List in Genshin Impact
5-star Inazuman characters filled many of Genshin’s missing pieces in the 5-star meta. Some of these characters have been anticipated since the start of the game while others were just what we were looking for for a long time.
S-Tier
S stands for Supreme tier and the following characters deserve that title. If you were lucky enough to get them then they are a must-build unit that should not be overlooked.
- Kaedehara Kazuha
Kazuha is one of the best supports and sub-DPS in the game if not the best. He stands toe to toe with units like Zhongli, Venti, Raiden Shogun, and so on. As an Anemo character, he can Swirl, and crowd-control, and he even has a nifty E skill where he can jump midair. He’s fun, versatile, and greatly boosts your team’s damage.
- Raiden Shogun
Raiden is an Archon unit and as a necessity, they have to be the best of the best in the game. Raiden is not only one of the best supports but also one of the best DPS in the game. She dishes out tons of damage with her E and Q while keeping serving as an energy battery for her whole team. Additionally, she boosts the burst damage of her teammates. Need we say more?
A-Tier
In the A for Awesome tier, we have the respectable Kamisato siblings and the Head Priestess of Grand Narukami Shrine- Yae Miko herself. These are all great DPS units that can also be used as support.
- Ayaka
Ayaka is one of the greatest DPS units in the game overall. Her elemental burst in total dishes out the most amount of damage in its duration and even though it is not single-hit damage like that of Hu Tao or Eula, by the time her burst ends, most enemies are dead. Her Cryo sprint and long-ranged high scaling charged attacks also make her a great on-field DPS.
- Ayato
Ayato is one of the best Hydro units in the game currently due to his insanely long burst duration and reasonable burst cost. His E skill is his main DPS source and it is one of the coolest and most versatile attacks in the game- even though he has to be on-field to deliver it. He’s a great Hydro DPS but in some cases an even greater Hydro support.
- Yae Miko
Yae Miko is one of the best Electro-DPS in the game due to her high scaling and her fun playstyle. She can place her turrets and simply wait for all her enemies to die. Her E skill has a vast range and its attacks hone in on the opponent’s position with an AoE effect. Her elemental burst is her strongest source of damage even though she needs an electro battery in the team to reliably cast it in battles.
B-Tier
B for Basic and the characters below all fill basic roles in Genshin’s 5-star roster. While these characters aren’t bad by any means, they have a niche role and are thus not used often in the game.
- Kokomi
Kokomi is the best healer in the game- it’s just that when there’s also Zhongli in the game who neutralizes the need for any healer, most people don’t go for Kokomi. She’s a Hydro catalyst user and despite being a dedicated 5-star healer, she can do some decent damage in a pinch with her variable scaling.
- Arataki Itto
Itto is one of the strongest DPS in the game but since he’s a Geo unit he doesn’t synergize with most other teams. His best teams are mono-Geo teams and Geo is currently perhaps the weakest or most undesirable element in the game.
- Yoimiya
Yoimiya is one of the strongest single-target DPS in the game but unfortunately, Genshin Impact prefers AoE damage dealers over single-target ones. She’s also a Pyro unit but since her attacks don’t have a reliable AoE effect most players skip using her- even though she’s one of the top picks for casual players to take out the world and the weekly bosses safely from a distance.
C-Tier
Technically the Traveller isn’t from Inazuma but he has been there and he’s technically considered a 5-star. In this case, C stands for Couldn’t be bothered since despite being a decent unit, the Traveller falls short of the other units from Inazuma.
- Electro Traveller
The Electro Traveller is actually a decent unit to use if you don’t have a support electro battery unit but if you do his role falls flat since others do it better than him. His kit requires a bit of skill to play and as always his damage is just disappointing compared to the other units from Inazuma- especially the 5-stars.
Overall, we’d recommend you build any of the characters in S-Tier if you have them and build the A-Tier characters only if you have them and they will benefit your teams. Anything below them is not worth the grind unless you absolutely need them for their niche uses.
