Fortnite Rule 34 – What you Need to Know
Rule 34 in general states that everything that is put up on the internet has an adulterous counterpart. Usually, this could be fan art or morphed images of the characters featured in 18+ or R-rated content. This rule has been applied to almost everything available on the internet, be it video game characters, cartoons, movies, and TV shows. Usually, Rule 34 content is not welcomed by fans, but you can still find artwork of your favorite characters floating around if you do a quick search for it.
Though it may seem gross to a lot of people to associate characters who they care about in obscene content, many who are part of the community feel that it helps with their freedom of expression. But the risk outruns the fantasy portrayal, as younger fans can get exposed to such inappropriate content easily. Since a large portion of the community are underage kids, the risk of exposing them to this is greater. Epic Games even have a statement for it in their official terms and conditions, which encourages players to report obscene matters that glorify anything that they are against. Players are requested to use the reporting option to help tackle the issue.
If you or anyone you know have come across a link or comment that may potentially lead you to a Rule 34 page, it is best to ignore it and report it. You can also check out this post to know more about all the Fortnite Rules and what it means.
