Even when the service is down and online music cannot be played, you still have access to the offline library and can use it to listen to your favourite music. So, users at least don’t have to stay away from music altogether. You can use the library you have downloaded to listen to the music.

Unfortunately, there is no hotfix you can apply that will fix the issue altogether as the problem is on the server end and it’s not in your control. All you can do is hope that Spotify get to the bottom of the issue as quick as possible and the Spotify error code 4 is resolved.

The good news in all of this is that the company is aware of the issue and here is what they said on Twitter, “Something’s not quite right, and we’re looking into it. Thanks for your reports!”

Once the issue has been resolved, you should be able to reconnect to Spotify without any problems and use its services. Until then, enjoy the offline mode or consider other options for streaming music.
