Riders Republic has officially launched after players got to try the game on multiple occasions. The gameplay is awesome and highly addicting. There are also no major bugs and errors in the game. But, some players are having a hard time launching the game or crashing while playing the game. The issue has mostly affected players on PC and Xbox Series X. And while the console players can’t do much to help the situation, players on PC can fix the Riders Republic crashing problem. Keep reading and we will share a bunch of solutions that can help you reduce the crashes and get into the game.
Riders Republic Crashing on PC Fix
While the crashing problems are a pain, the players on PC have it better than console due to the availability of a number of solutions that can fix the problem. Before you proceed, know that there is no universal solution. So, while a fix may work for a user, it may not for the other. With some luck, we hope you will be able to put the crashing problem with Riders Republic behind you.
- Disable Ubisoft Connect settings “Enable in-game overlay for supported games”
- The in-game overlay has been causing problems for a range of games recently from Far Cry 6 to the recent Riders Republic. Disable this feature to prevent the game from crashing. Here are the steps you can follow. Start the Ubisoft Connect client > click on 3 lines in the top left corner > click on Settings > General tab > uncheck Enable in-game overlay for supported games.
- Uninstall and Reinstall the Game
- You should try this fix if you participated in the beta. If the beta version of the game is conflicting with the current version, the game can crash. We suggest that you uninstall the game, delete the Riders Republic folder from Documents > My Games. Now, install a fresh copy of the game.
- Verify the game files
- If the game files are corrupted that could be the other reason for the crashing. Most launcher including Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect provides the feature to verify and repair game files.
- Delete the options.ini File
- Changing the settings of the game, a bug that corrupted the settings, or due to a conflict with the beta can crash the game. Deleting the options.ini File and running verify and repair feature would replace the file with a new copy. It should allow you to bypass the error. You can find the file at Documents\My Games\Riders Republic\Default
That’s all we have in this guide. Hope the Riders Republic crash is fixed. We will keep an eye on the situation and update the post as necessary. If you have a solution we missed, let us know in the comments.
