The first weekend of The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Beta has ended. It was live for PlayStation users only from Sept 16 to 20. From Sept 24 to 26, the Beta will be open to all Xbox and PC players. But unfortunately, many players on PC have already reported numerous game performance hiccups and crashes. One of the most annoying problems many players are currently experiencing is that they are locked out of PC beta. If you are facing the same issue, luckily, there is a method you can try to get rid of it.
Fixing Modern Warfare 2 Players Locked Out of PC Beta
Modern Warfare 2 beta is now available on Xbox and PC, allowing players to jump in and explore what the devs have offered new things.
According to multiple reports, when players restart their PC, Steam or MW2 asks again for their phone number. However, if they enter the same contact number, again and again, various times, they are locked out by Steam.
In that case, Charlie Intel, the world’s largest Call of Duty news site, has suggested – To prevent the issue, do not restart your PC multiple times.
Getting locked out from the MW2 is not the only issue many PC players are experiencing currently. Many players also run into crashing and freezing issues multiple times within a few hours of playing the game on their PC.
Thankfully, the PC development team of CoD Modern Warfare 2 has released a statement recently on their official Twitter page and acknowledged the issue.
They stated – “Please feel free to change it during the process” – That means players need to change their username so that they won’t get locked out of the MW2 PC beta.
On the other hand, on the crashing issue, the dev said – If the game needs a reboot, ensure to reopen it manually.
That’s all for this guide on how to fix Modern Warfare 2 players locked out of PC beta issues. Since many players report on the same issue on several forums, the team will surely find a permanent solution soon.
