To heal yourself or a selected unit, you can use consumables such as Vulneraries. You can use them while in battle, you heal up. You will get access to two of them per battle, and you can use them by pressing down the R button, then going for the B button. This will instantly heal your units.
If you have magic troops, you can check their abilities and equip any healing skills on them. You can heal via this method, or use potions scattered around the map. You can find potions by breaking destructible pots found around the areas.
Besides the above two methods, you can also call in an AI unit to heal you. To do this, bring up the map and find any character with the heal ability equipped on them. Press the A button on them to summon. Next, find the character you wish to heal on the map, then open up the tactical command window by pressing ZR. Over here, find the heal command to use it on the fallen comrade. The AI unit will eventually make their way over to anyone who needs healing.
