If you also have the same question, this guide will help you know if you can get the Crossplay feature in FIFA 23 or not.
FIFA 23 Crossplay- Does It Include all the Game Modes?
One of the significant reasons for multiplayer games to be so popular is the Crossplay feature. The Crossplay feature allows the players to team up with their friends across the platforms. Generally, all the multiplayer games of recent times have the Crossplay feature.
FIFA games haven’t had the Crossplay feature in their previous games, and the players have been demanding for it for a long time. Finally, EA has listened to the players and added the Crossplay feature in FIFA 23, the upcoming installment of the series. Though this is indeed a piece of good news for FIFA fans, there are some restrictions.
FIFA 23 doesn’t allow players to use Crossplay in every game mode. There are only a few game modes that will support the Crossplay feature. On their Official Website, EA has already declared the modes that will support Crossplay. Below we have listed the modes that will support Crossplay at launch-
- FUT Division Rivals (Except Co-Op)
- FUT Online Friendlies (Except Co-Op)
- FUT Champions
- FUT Play a Friend
- FUT Ultimate Online Draft
- Online Seasons (Except Co-Op Seasons)
- Online Friendlies.
These are the only game modes with Crossplay available at launch. There are further restrictions besides the game modes. Players cannot connect with players with random platforms. On their website, EA has said that in FIFA 23, Crossplay will be available on the same platform generations. For example, PlayStation 5, Xbox X/S, Stadia, and PC players can use Crossplay to play together; on the other hand, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players can play together using Crossplay. However, Xbox One players or PlayStation 4 players can’t connect with Xbox Series X/S or PC players using the Crossplay feature.
That’s all you need to know about the Crossplay feature in FIFA 23. Though it is indeed a happy thing that EA has finally introduced Crossplay in the FIFA series, there are some conditions that players need to keep in mind before they start playing the game with their friends.
