With the launch of Warzone 2 and MW2 Season 4, DMZ mode has also been updated and revamped. The DMZ missions always get resets or changed every season, and Season 4 is no different. One of the missions for the new Phalanx Faction is Cut the Head, which requires players to buy the Encryption key at the Buy Station. This mission requires players to go to the market and unlock 4 computers with this key and then extract the key. Phalanx’s Cut the Head Mission Guide
Cut the Head is a Phalanx faction’s Tier 5 mission which requires players to complete these 3 objectives:
- Trade for the Encryption Key at a Buy Station
- Activate the 4 laptops in the market in under 2 minutes with the Encryption Key
- Extract with the Encryption Key
For the first objective, players must trade the Encryption key at a buy station. To do this, players need to follow these steps:
- Players must be deployed into the new Vondel Map (not required for this objective but for the other objective)
- After being deployed into the Vondel map, players need to go to the buy station and check for th required materials to trade for the Encryption Key
- To get the Encryption key from the trade, players need these materials:
- 1x Stronghold Keycard
- 1x Throwing Knife
- 1x Inflatable Decoy
- 1x Smoke Grenade
NOTE: players can have all these items even before the deployment as they are in tactical gear. Players can also place the stronghold keycard in their backpacks as well.
- After collecting these items in the same deployment, players need to go to the buy station and trade these items for the encryption key.
- After the trade, players will complete the first objective.
For the second objective, players must use the encryption key to Activate 4 laptops located in the market POI in under 2 minutes. To do this, players need to follow these steps:
- After getting the encryption key in the Vondel Map, players need to make their way to the Market POI
- After reaching there, players need to unlock the market which is usually a stronghold so players might need another keycard.
- After clearing the enemies, players need to find the laptops.
- There are 2 laptops on the ground floor and 2 upstairs.
- The timer starts when players activate the first laptop.
- The 2 laptops on the ground floor are located at the entrance of the market and on the benches and the other one is at the bar.
- The 2 laptops upstairs are located on the pool table on the left of the staircase and the other one is located on the couch nearby.
- After activating these 4 laptops, the second objective will be completed.
For the final objective, players simply need to extract the Vondel Map with an Encryption key in their backpacks. It is required so players need to make that they have it. After the exfil, players will complete the mission and get the rewards. The rewards for completing these missions are Praetorian (Operator Skins) and 40,000 XP.
