You must have heard of this new gen anime called Demon Slayer. It has gotten so popular among weebs and otakus that even people who don’t watch anime have heard of it. Well, SEGA and Cyberconnect2 brought us a retelling of the story of Demon Slayer in a video game format last year in October. It is a 3D action-adventure, story-based fighting game. To give you an idea, it is similar to Dragon Ball Z Kakarot or Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. Considering that they have the same developers, it is fair to say that the play style of these games does not differ by much. It is like using the same foundation of those games with a ‘Demon Slayer’ twist. We are yet to see if the game brings some new mechanics that will give a breath of fresh air to the fans of 3D fighting games.
With the latest update, the developers have introduced three new characters to the game- Tanjiro (Blood Tears), Inosuke (and muscular mice), and Zenitsu (cross-dressing version). While this is a welcome DLC, the studio needs to refine the game further to give a seamless experience to the players. Players have been facing issues with the game like blatant crashing, and in other cases, an error message pops up. The message says ‘A communication error occurred’ on Xbox; the issue is acknowledged.

A player went to Reddit and posted a video to give you a better idea:
From this, you must have gotten an idea of what the issue is. The game crashes as soon as a player tries to create or join group matches. A lot of them are also unable to access the online feature of the game. You can imagine how frustrating it would be when you invite someone to play with you, and the entire game just shuts off.
Besides crashing, some players have come across a ‘Communication error.’
This player seems to have noticed a temporary workaround for this issue. Try unplugging your console for 30 seconds and plug it back in. This is not an official fix, but it seems to work sometimes.

The Official Statement
Frustrated with the game, many more players have taken to Twitter. Thankfully, the Twitter page of the game has responded to most of these complaints and put out an official statement.
Hopefully, it will not take too long to fix this annoying issue, and players will be able to play without any crashes. We shall provide regular updates on this error and will post a fix as soon as one is available. Till then, keep slaying, Demon Slayers!
