Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles is soon to be out on Steam. The price for the game is steep, but it does offer great combat in the familiar JRPG style. One of the concerns of players is that the game by default is set at 30 FPS with no option for the user to increase it. Many players are concerned. But, there is a way you can unlock the FPS in Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles and get more than 60 FPS. If you want to get the FPS your monitor supports, keep reading.  

How to Get 60 FPS or More in Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles

A lack of FPS brings a lot of problems with a game, but the most concerning and irritating is the input delay. And while the game is stuck at 30 FPS, you can edit the config file of the game to set the desired FPS. For performance and stability, we suggest that you set it to 60 and no more than that, but you are free to try. If the game does not appear good, you can always go back and set the FPS to 60. We have tried unlocking the game to 60 FPS and it works great, there is no input lag. Here are the steps you can follow to get 60 FPS or more in Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles.

  1. Go to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\APK\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
  2. Open “Engine.ini” file in a text editor.
  3. Copy and Paste the below code at the end of the Engine.ini file

bUseFixedFrameRate=False
FixedFrameRate=30.000000
bSmoothFrameRate=True
MinDesiredFrameRate=60.000000
SmoothedFrameRateRange=(LowerBound=(Type=Inclusive,Value=30.000000),UpperBound=(Type=Exclusive,Value=60.000000))

After performing the above steps, save the file and exit. Reboot the game and you should get 60 FPS in Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles.

You can choose to set higher FPS by changing the MinDesiredFrameRate=60.000000 to 120.000000 and (Type=Exclusive,Value=60.000000)) to 120.000000. Also, this only works in offline mode. If you go online, you will again find yourself at 30 FPS.

    1. No, you won’t get banned because it does not work in multiplayer. Thousands of players have tried it and no one has reported being banned. So, it’s safe to try.

    1. You should be able to click on the file. Is it just that folder? By any chance is it greyed-out?

    1. Cap it through the Nvidia Control Panel. Are you getting 1000 FPS or 100?
