The Dark Matter Gauntlets are a powerful melee weapon in Remnant 2. Based on the power of a neutron star and a black hole, it releases cosmic power. Wearing them feels like holding a star in your hand, pushing your body to its limits and unlocking new abilities. It’s a new melee weapon that was first introduced in the third DLC, The Dark Horizon.
Dark Matter Gauntlets Weapon Mods
Kionova: Holding the melee attack button for a longer time will activate the Gauntlets’ charged mode, which lasts for 15 seconds. In this mode, your normal melee attacks do 25% more damage, and charged melee attacks release powerful blasts that can go through enemies. Each blast reduces the duration of charged mode.
While in charged mode, if you perform a charged melee attack while moving backward, you will gather power for up to 5 seconds. Then, you will fire a powerful Darkness Beam that deals 125 melee damage every 0.5 seconds. The beam will last for the same amount of time that you charged it. After the beam fires, the charged mode will end.
The Dark Matter Gauntlets already have a special weapon mod attached to them. You can’t remove this mod, and you can only find it on this weapon.
Dark Matter Gauntlets Upgrades
The Dark Matter Gauntlets are a special melee weapon, so you can upgrade them up to 10 times.

Dark Matter Gauntlets Location
To get the Black Mass Material, you will have to destroy 1 or 2 power crystals fueling Alepsis-Taura. You will find crystals in dungeons with a line that connects them on the map, as well as white rays shooting out from them in the world map. You will only get the Black Mass Material if you destroy 1 or 2 crystals as I mentioned before. Finally, talk to McCabe in Ward 13 to make the Dark Matter Gauntlet. To obtain this item, you’ll need 1 Black Mass, 7 Lumenite Crystals, and 1000 Scrap.
