Throughout the years, Pokémon Go has offered Community Day events that helped Trainers catch particular Pokémon. The encounter rates for certain Pokémon would skyrocket during their featured event, including the rate of finding shiny Pokémon. But the question remains, is it possible to find a Shiny Greninja in Pokémon GO?

Since there is currently no Community Day event, you might have a hard time finding Greninja, and an even harder time finding a shiny variant. That’s not all, it is not possible to capture a shiny Greninja in the wild, but you can catch its pre-evolution form, Froakie. Froakie can be found in the wild, usually near various water bodies like ponds, lakes, and beaches. If you visit these places, you can capture a Froakie and evolve it into Frogadier and Greninja. If you are lucky, you can also find a shiny Froakie to evolve as well, but the chances of that are 1/500.
You can also get Froakie from 5 KM eggs, but those are only available during certain events. You can even find them during research encounters and raids. Once you get a shiny Froakie, you can feed it 150 candies to evolve it into Frogadier and Greninja.
