5. Bolt Rifle with Underslung Grenade Launcher
This weapon is at the number 5 slot because you can unlock it very early in the game. This is a heavy duty weapon that is great for swarms and mob control during the early Operations missions. It might fare well in PvP, but it can’t help you when you are face to face with the more agile classes in Space Marine 2. The Bolt Rifle with Grenade Launcher is available at Tactical Level 2 and offers some fast firing rate and accuracy but compromises on fire power. If you are heading into PvP, you can just go for the good ol’ Bolt Rifle for increased accuracy, reloading speed, and range
- Tier: Master-Crafted
- Firepower: 3+
- Accuracy: 5+
- Rate of Fire: 4
- Reloading Speed: 5
- Piercing: 3
- Range: 7
- Magazine Capacity: 25

4. Bolt Carbine
The bolt carbine is technically an all rounder when it comes to PvP and PvE. This gun offers the best rate of fire and reload speed, but besides that it is lacking in most avenues of a good primary Tactical weapon. You might find it hindersome for its low firepower, but that can be managed once it reaches the Master Crafted status. But to make up for what it lacks, the Bolt Carbine is a great weapon for close to mid range combat and for pushing back hoards of Tyranids. Hence why it fares so well across all mission types. You can unlock this weapon somewhere in early to mid gameplay and after reaching Tactical level 10.
- Tier: Standard
- Firepower: 1+
- Accuracy: 2
- Rate of Fire: 8+
- Reloading Speed: 5+
- Piercing: 1
- Range: 3
- Magazine Capacity: 30

3. Melta Rifle
The Melta Rifle has the highest Piercing stats and Firepower amongst the other guns listed above. Once you upgrade it, you get additional stats in these two areas, making it an ideal weapon for close combat. Can be used in both PvP and PvE, but it doesn’t fare too well with crowd control. So you are better off using this weapon in PvP. But this is still a great gun to own besides the fact that it has really low range, reloading speed, and rate of fire. If you look past all this, you can use the Melta Rifle to quickly headshot enemies in close quarters
- Tier: Standard
- Firepower: 8
- Rate of Fire: 1
- Reloading Speed: 1
- Piercing: 10
- Range: 1
- Magazine Capacity: 5
- Ammo Reserve: 15
2. Stalker Bolt Rifle
We have discussed all close and mid range Tactical class primary weapons in Space Marine 2. But now we will go for the long range guns. One of the best ones out there is the Stalker Bolt Rifle. This gun has the highest range and accuracy, making it the best for headshots in PvP and PvE. While it isn’t too great with mob control and has average firepower, you can just sit back with this gun and let it do all the talking.
- Tier: Standard
- Firepower: 5
- Accuracy: 10
- Rate of Fire: 2
- Reloading Speed: 5
- Piercing: 4
- Range: 10
- Magazine Capacity: 12
- Ammo Reserve: 36
1. Heavy Bolt Rifle
The Heavy Bolt Rifle is the most well balanced primary gun out there for the Tactical class. It is a fully automatic, mid-range rifle with high range and balanced accuracy, reloading speed, and rate of fire. It does not fare too well in the firepower section, but upon upgrading it with the right perks, you can enhance its stats and boost its capabilities. The Heavy Bolt Rifle is great for all distances, has high piercing power, and can be used in PvP and PvE. What it lacks is mob control, but you can tackle oncoming enemies from a good distance away.
- Tier: Standard
- Firepower: 2+
- Accuracy: 4+
- Rate of Fire: 5
- Reloading Speed: 4+
- Piercing: 4
