Elden Ring was one of the most awaited games of this year, and even after almost two months of its release, the game is still equally popular among the players. The graphics, storyline, visuals, weapons, etc., are the main reason for its ever-growing popularity among the players.
Runes are the in-game currencies of Elden Ring. Players need to collect runes for various reasons like purchasing weapons or other essential items and, most importantly, level up. From the beginning of the game, players need to farm runes to level up themselves. This guide will help you know about the best location to farm runes in the early game.
Early Rune Farming Location in Elden Ring- Which Areas are Best?
Runes are one of the most important items of Elden Ring. Without runes, players can’t progress much. Though we are saying the early spots, all of these spots are not found in the early game. You have to proceed through the game to access some of these spots to farm runes. Below we are giving the locations to farm Rune early in Elden Ring.
Agheel Lake North Viking Camp
Agheel Lake North Viking Camp will provide 300 Runes for killing each enemy. To get to the location, first head towards the Agheel Lake North Site of Grace located at the ease side of Gate Front Ruins. Now, move towards the northeast side to get the Viking camp, where there are a few horseback enemies. As we’ve said, each enemy will give you 300 Runes, and if you wipe out the whole camp, including the wolves, you’ll get 2000 Rune. This method is pretty easy to get runes without dying.
Fort Faroth Dragon
This is another method to farm rune faster, but this method is a bit risky. But taking the risk is worth it as this method gives you 2000 Runes per enemy. Fort Faroth is located on the east side of Caelid. The Site of Grace and the giant dragon, your primary target, is located outside the fort. The dragon is a massive one, but the only thing is that it is sleeping. Use a weapon that will do blood damage to hit the dragon continuously. Excessive blood loss will speed up the beating process. But remember to attack it from behind. Once the giant dragon is dead, the other small dragons will also die, and you’ll get 80000 Runes. If you manage to kill the small dragon but not the giant dragon, you’ll get 3500 Runes.
But this method is not an early game method as you need powerful weapons to defeat the dragons; if you don’t have enough levels and weapons, even the small dragons will be impossible to kill. Therefore, try to apply this method later when you have enough weapons to do blood damage.
Seaside Ruins
Seaside Ruins is another very safe location where players can get a small amount of Runes without dying. After you proceed a little through the game, head to the southeast from the location where you have spawned at the beginning, and you’ll reach The Seaside Ruins Site of Grace. From the Site of Grace. Head to the east, and you’ll see a group of Knights and Goblins fighting. Wipe out the entire group to get 577 runes. Though the amount is not satisfactory, it still raises your rune collection. Also, it is the safest method to farm runes early in the game.
Bestial Sanctum
This one is a pretty high-level location that players will access after they have proceeded a lot through the game. To reach Bestial Sanctum, players need to visit the Third Church of Marika and follow the river located in the north to reach a wrap gate located behind trees. This gate will take you to Bestial Sanctum.
There, at the entrance of the Bestial Sanctum, you’ll see a Giant Gargoyle. But don’t worry, it won’t attack you unless you attack it. Go into the Sanctum, and you’ll find the Site of Grace. Head outside of the Sanctum and find the smaller enemies around the area. You’ll get 1000 to 1300 Runes per enemy based on what kind of weapons they have.
But this area is pretty risky if you are a low-level player. These enemies can even kill you. There are some areas that are too difficult to handle if you don’t have enough levels and weapons. So, it’ll be better to come to this place a little later. These are the early rune farming areas in Elden Ring.
