Here is the tier list for the best characters in 20 Minutes Till Dawn in June 2022.
S-Tier
Abby
Abby is the top pick because she has literally no cons. Her starting HP of 4 is reasonable, and she shoots all her remaining ammo in random directions when right-clicked. The upgrades from Elite Enemies only serve to make her stronger, and with the Tome to triple her base ammo she can become practically untouchable.
A-Tier
Spark
Spark is a great character as she can electrify her enemies on every other shot by shooting bullets at them. While her character was added only in the final version of the game, players have quickly realised that she is a force to be reckoned with. On the downside, she has a low starting HP of 3 and her potential skills don’t make her as powerful.
Diamond
The most redeeming quality about Diamond is her health upgrades and innately high health, which makes her a great choice for beginners. With 7 HP, she can take a lot of damage, and make use of the attack buffs which can be obtained through items and upgrades. Every time Diamond loses one health, she will become more and more powerful with the potential skill of Berserk.
B-Tier
Shana
Shana is the default character of the game, but don’t let that get to you. With their innate ability to be able to reroll Upgrade options once per Level, their potential skills are vast. The experience boost can greatly add to the quality of the gameplay and make Shana’s skills more buffed up than they already are. Other than the experience boost, there isn’t really anything that Shana adds to the game.
Scarlett
Scarlett’s attack powers are great for the first couple of minutes of the game as she has the innate ability of fire, which is good for causing some hefty splash damage. Her potential skills make her ability even stronger. However, it is true that any character can have the fire ability with the proper upgrades or the Flame Cannon, which is a gun that they can buy on the main screen.
Lilith
Lilith has some of the best Potential Skills, but they can be unlocked only by chance later into the game—so players are bound to have a hard time until then. Lilith is a great character only when used with lots of Summons as her skills boost Summon Damage as well as Summon Attack Speed.
C-Tier
Hina
Hina has low HP and an awkward innate ability of Shadow Clone, which can be a hit or miss with most players. You’d have to try her out to know for yourself. As it is focused of movement instead of attack or defense, there really isn’t much variety for Hina.
