There are several NPCs you can find around the various areas in Baldur’s Gate 3. While you can recruit some of them, some other characters will just give you some insight. One of the characters you need to find is Findal, and upon looting his corpse you will get the Key of the Ancients. Of course, the path to it is not so easy.
You will find Findal’s corpse in the Underground Passage area. You will reach this passage when you try to get from Emerald Grove and the Forest. Along the way, you will find a group of goblins holding Findal hostage. Defeat the goblins to get close to Findal’s body. Over here you can choose to save him using spells, or let him die. If he dies, you can loot his body for some rare loot, including the Key of the Ancients.
Equipping the Key of Ancients will give your character a +1 in nature. It can also be sold to vendors for 150 gold. This helmet is worth getting during early gameplay, but you can swap it out for something better later on.
