One of the items that might not have a purpose right now are Mind Ingredients. You can get two types of mind Mind and the Slave Mind. Both these items very early in the game. To get mind ingredients, you need to find Mind Flayers and interact with them to get it. Initially, you can find a bunch of them inside the Nautiloid Shop. As you make progress, you can find Mind Flayers across the realms. All you have to do is interact with them and harvest their brains to get either the Dark Mind or Slave Mind. 

For now, there is no particular use for mind ingredients, as they are mostly used as decoration items. You can use it to adorn your camp, or consume it to gain some buffs. You should note that these items weigh 10 KG, so unless your character has high strength it is not worth keeping them in your inventory. These items can to vendors, but they will just fetch you 1 gold.
