New Maps in Overwatched 2- Details
Overwatch 2 was announced in 2019 and scheduled to be released in March 2022, but due to some reasons, its final version is not yet released. Recently, the multiplayer Beta version of the game is released, and players are grinding through it to know what they can expect from the game’s final version. The game has taken a wide range of locations – from Junkertown, Australia, to Rialto, Italy- you can see various locations in Overwatch 2.
The game has two types of maps- PVP maps and PVE maps. These two categories have 5 and 3 maps, respectively. Below we are listing down the newly added maps in Overwatch 2-
Maps | Description |
Colosseo (PVP) | This map is based on the Colosseum of Rome and inspired by the pictures of an Environmental artist. In the game, the Robot begins at the Colosseum and is pushed outside different locations to reach the final objective location. |
Circuit Royal (PVP) | This map recalls the scenes of the Masquerade comic and has a racetrack outside. This map has tightly bound corridors that lead to a lot of high-ground fire. |
Rio De Janeiro (PVP) | This map is presented in PVP and story mode. This is an Escort map, and the difference between the inside and outside of the map is like a day and night difference- the outside is bright, while the club is dark. |
Midtown (PVP) | This map is based on The Village in New York City. It includes iconic architecture and buildings. Additionally, it has a fire station, neon lights, subways, etc. |
New Queen Street (PVP) | In this map, players need to push the robot back and forth like tug-of-war to secure checkpoints. There are statues of players throughout the map, and maple trees will be seen on the map. |
Gothenburg (PVE) | This map will be a more fit for PVP mode, but this will be a PVE map. The attraction of the map is Torbjorn’s Workshop, where Reinhardt will visit to meet his friends Torbjorn and Bastion. |
Rio De Janeiro (PVE) | This map was revealed in 2019 and is the home of Lucio. Lucio took help from Overwatch to save the people of Rio from the attacks of the giant floating ship. |
India (PVE) | Until now, as much as revealed, it seems that India will be the biggest map of Overwatch 2. It is based on a temple that Genji visits to meet Zenyatta. The mission most probably focuses on escaping the Talon attacks on the temple. |
