There are 8 locations in Hyrule’s map where you can find several villages and towns scattered around. To know where to access the map to find all the towns and villages, you have to head over to the Lookout Landing located south of Hyrule Castle Town Ruins. You will reach this location during the quest To the Kingdom of Hyrule. Once you do, walk over to the middle section of the area and talk to Scorpis. He will lead you to the entrance of the underground escape shelter.
Drop down and walk straight ahead toward the map. You will find Atmus near the map. Talk to him to get an explanation of all the towns and villages you can visit in Hyrule. You must be familiar with most of these towns as they are carried over from previous games. Some towns will unlock after defeating the bosses in the area.
