Genshin Impact Version 3.2 finally released Nahida the Dendro Archon and like all Archon units, she’s broken. Quicken was hyped up due to it massively buffing the potential of Electro characters in the game through the Aggravate reaction. Spread on the other hand isn’t as popular yet solely because of a lack of dedicated Dendro DPS units. In this article, we’ll look at how Nahida fits into Quicken comps and what the future may hold for Quicken teams.
Quicken Before Nahida
Before the release of Nahida, the premium Dendro support for Quicken was the Dendro Traveler, with Collei only occasionally swapping in with her burst. Tighnari was the only Dendro DPS but he didn’t feel like the main Dendro carry. Instead, he was more of a quick-swap Dendro sub-dps. Aggravate was the preferred Quicken playstyle for those who didn’t have or build Tighnari and it was a powerful comp.
All Electro characters were indirectly buffed by Quicken in Aggravate teams and they finally started dishing out big damage numbers. That said, even within the initial week of testing the waters, theorycrafters and veteran players realised it could be even better.
Dendro Traveler was a consistent Dendro applier with standard ICD and compared to the fast Electro application in Aggravate teams, the Traveler’s Dendro application rate was deemed slow. And the Traveler also didn’t have a 100% Dendro application up-time which meant that during downtimes, the damage of the team significantly dropped.
Nahida in Version 3.2 changed all that.
Nahida in Spread Teams
Nahida’s Dendro application is so strong on her own that she can function as an off-field Spread sub-dps. She can even function as an on-field sub-dps in a double Dendro team where she isn’t playing the role of support.
Tighnari and Nahida make for a reliable and powerful Spread team. She can also be used as an on-field Spread sub-dps with the Dendro Traveler playing support with the Deepwood Memories set.
In Spread comps, the Electro slot is best left to units like Kuki Shinobu, Yae Miko or even Fischl due to their powerful and reliable Electro application. Kuki can even double up as healing support though this would mean losing out on the damage Fischl and Yae can dish out.
Nahida in Aggravate Teams
Nahida in Aggravate teams needs another Electro unit to keep up the Electro aura on enemies. Her Dendro application is very strong to the point Electro doesn’t last long when enemies are Quickened by her skill.
You can of course build Aggravate teams with one Dendro character in Nahida and one other Electro unit but that way you won’t likely experience the full glory of Aggravate as your team will be skewed between your Electro unit’s Aggravate and Nahida’s occasional Spread overpowering the Electro off the Quicken.
The best Aggravate teams have double Electro to compensate for the downtimes of one and trigger as many Aggravate as possible. Some of the best Electro units for Aggravate are as follows:
- Yae Miko: Off-field sub-dps and Burst DPS.
- Fischl: Off-field sub-dps and battery.
- Keqing: On-field main DPS.
Fischl is the best choice for a secondary Electro unit and it doesn’t matter who’s your first. Fischl can double up as an Electro battery for the team thus making sure your Electro units have their bursts up at almost all times. Generally, Fischl is either paired with Yae or Keqing.
If you feel like your team lacks survivability you can also use Kuki Shinobu or even Anemo healers like Jean or Sayu. Your flex slot can also be Zhongli for his shield and Elemental RES shred. It can also be Anemo units like Kazuha or Sucrose for the additional EM and Elemental DMG buff.
How to Build Nahida for Quicken Teams
Building Nahida for any Quicken comp is easy and that is because of her kit. All she needs is a triple-EM build with either the Deepwood Memories set or the Gilded Dreams set.
Here, the Gilded Dreams set can occasionally outperform the Deepwood Memories as the best set for Nahida since she can buff her Electro teammates with massive EM bonuses in her elemental burst. The Deepwood Memories, while it does buff Dendro DMG and shreds Dendro RES, is still best used for Bloom comps.

While Aggravate is one of the most used Spiral Abyss teams in the current cycle, with more Dendro units on the way that is likely to change. Alhaitham is expected to be the first dedicated Dendro DPS and he’s expected to synergise with Nahida for the most powerful Spread team in the game. Raiden can also be used in Aggravate teams but only Hyperbloom teams warrant changing Raiden’s build to a full EM one from an ER one.
