To start your quest for Egon in Mortal Shell 2, you will have to find the tower of Egon near Castigor’s Keep. The quest is easy to figure out after you get a sense of location, but finding Egon may take some time. In this guide, we’ll tell you where to find Egon and explain how to complete his quest step by step. You’ll also need 10,000 Gloom to make the offering and receive your reward.

How to Start the Egon Quest

Egon can be located inside a tower that lies southwest of the Castigor’s Keep Beacon. After reaching the beacon, you have to take the road surrounding the tower from the beacon, then find the place where the wall breaks down to the right. Walk through the breach and press the lever to open the gate. As soon as the gate opens, climb the slope near it to reach Egon’s tower.

How to Complete the Egon Quest

After reaching the Castigor’s Keep Beacon, walk along the path running alongside the walls until you find the gap in the walls to your right that gives access to the area. Open the gate using the lever after entering the area to create a shortcut to the Beacon when needed. Be careful, as there are four enemies on this path.

Follow the slope next to the gate to reach Egon’s tower. It is important that you have 10,000 Gloom before you approach Egon so that you can give it to him. After giving 10,000 Gloom to Egon, he thanks you by rewarding you with 20,000 Gloom.

How to Farm Gloom

The Gloombound Stone is a useful Support Tarstone for Gloom farming because it increases the amount of Gloom you receive from defeated enemies. If you’re planning to farm Gloom for a while, make sure to equip the Gloombound Stone before starting. The extra Gloom adds up over multiple runs and can help you level up faster.

The easiest way to farm Gloom is to clear out an area and defeat as many enemies as possible. Every enemy drops Gloom, while stronger enemies usually give you more, making them especially useful when you want to level up quickly.

For the best results, look for areas with lots of enemies close together and a Beacon nearby. After clearing the area, rest at the Beacon to respawn the enemies. You can then defeat them again and repeat the process to collect Gloom quickly.
