Salamence is a pretty popular Pokemon, so the devs knew what they were doing when they made it a Paradox Pokemon that players can collect. It is a Dragon and Dark Type Pokemon with wings, and you will need to look for its location in order to capture it.
Note that you will be able to get this Pokemon only in the Scarlet version. The normal Salamence line is available in Violet. The first thing you will need to do if you want to catch Roaring Moon or Paradox Salamence in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is to complete the game. You will then gain access to Area Zero.
In this area, you will need to make your way to Research Base One or Two. You can fly on Miraidon, where you will see a waterfall. The cave is roughly between these two research bases so you can pick either one.
Break off your flight and drop down on the clearing. You will find a large tree near some rocks, which you need to go towards. You will eventually come across a small cave in the rocks. Enter the cave in which the Roaring Moon spawns.
There might be other Pokemon here which have already spawned, so you will need to defeat some of them before you can get to Roaring Moon. It is weak to Fighting, Bug, Ice, Dragon but most of all, Fairy Type moves so make sure to use some of those.
