Dev errors are nothing new with the game Call of Duty Modern Warfare. They started surfacing ever since the launch of Modern Warfare last year and have continued in Warzone Battle Royale. The Call of Duty Warzone Dev Error 6323 is amongst the most notorious of all error codes. The fix for this error varies from one user to the other. One fix might work for a user and not for another. This makes it very difficult to suggest solutions that can resolve the error. Activation has not provided any clue as to the cause of the errors, which makes the situation even worse. Users who encounter the error see the message DEV ERROR 6323 Status: SPAN
The Dev error 6328 is also related to this error. So, you can also try the fix listed on the above blog.
Here are some fixes that have resolved the error for most users.
Fix 1: Uninstall and Reinstalling the Game
Uninstalling and reinstalling the game has resolved the error for quite a number of users. As a method of troubleshooting, you probably have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game. However, some users were able to resolve the error after multiple attempts and uninstall and reinstall. Hence, I suggest you try this a few times. I know the game size is large and it can take up considerable time depending on your internet speed, it’s worth the shot.
Fix 2: Clear Console Cache
The cache on the console is temporary files that enhance the performance of the game, but sometimes the files can get corrupted or overwritten leading to game loading errors, freezes, connectivity problems, and in this case the dev error 6323. Clearing the cache can help you fix the problem. Here are the steps to follow.
Clear Cache in PS4
- Turn-off the Console normally.
- Remove all the power-cords after the console has completely powered down.
- Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds or let the console rest for 30 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cords and restart the PS4.
- Hold the L1 + R1 buttons while the PS4 is booting.
This will not only clear the PS4 cache but also reset the brightness and language.
Clear Cache in Xbox One
- Press and hold the power button on Xbox One to turn it off.
- Dethatch the power brick and press and hold the power button for a few seconds. Do it a few times to reinitialize and clear the cache from the device.
- Connect the power brick back to the console
- Wait for the light to turn orange in the power brick.
- Turn on the Xbox One normally.
Once you have done this, restart the console to check if the dev error 6323 still appears.
Fix 3: Delete Saved Game Data from Console
Several users were able to fix the 6323 error in Call of Duty Warzone by deleting the saved game files. Once you have deleted the files, the console would request an update after which the error gets resolved. Do create a backup of the saved game files as once it’s deleted from the console you cannot retrieve it.
Fix 4: Change Region Settings to English (UAE)
One user suggested that changing the region settings to English (UAE) fixed the problem. We all know that more than 30 million gamers are playing the game, so changing the region may allow you to access the servers if the problem is due to server congestion. Anyways, at this point when everything else has failed, trying this fix is worth the shot as it does not damage anything and you can easily return back to your old settings.
If you are lucky enough, one of the fixes has resolved the dev error 6323 for you. If not, watch out the blog as we scour the web looking for more viable solutions. We love to read your comments.
