Back 4 Blood stuttering caused by a large friend list is an issue that was widely reported during the beta of the game and has transferred to the final release as early access players have reported. The stuttering is caused every 12-15 minutes as the game refreshes the friend list. It’s not the first time we have seen such an issue with a game. Destiny 2 had a similar problem a while back, and a bunch of other games including Rocket League. Fortunately, there is an easy fix besides having to create a new account or remove most of the friends.
As the game regularly refreshes the friend list to find the active ones, if you have a large friend list it causes stutter. Keep reading through the post and we will share the Back 4 Blood large Steam friend list causing stuttering fix.
Back 4 Blood Large Steam Friend List Causing Stuttering Fix
Over the course of the beta, the large Steam friend list problem was largely reported and a workaround emerged and while the fix did work a hundred percent at the time, it’s not the case in the final release. So, with some luck, the below fix may work for you. Here is what you need to do.
- While you are at the Camp in the game, disconnect the internet.
- When you are logged out and see the title screen, reconnect the internet
- You will be required to login again.
- Once you login the stuttering should be gone.
At the time of writing this is the only solution that you can try to fix the Back 4 Blood large Steam friend list causing the stutter. Your other options are to delete the majority of your friend, which most players will be unwilling to do.
The next best thing is to refund the game from your current account, create a new Steam account, buy the game from the new account and play without adding any new friends or fewer friends. Add the friends you know will be playing the game with you. Although this workaround is a bit of work, it does fix the stutter and offers a smooth gaming experience and you don’t have to lose your current friends.
