To find Bonegrafted and Slytherin Shades in Mortal Shell 2, players have to locate a secret room along with its Blackmarrow Key. This guide will discuss where the secret room is located, how to gain access to it, where the key can be found, and how it can be used on coffins.
How to Find the Secret Room
The secret dungeon in Marrow’s Keep can be unlocked using the Slayer Seal, which is easy to miss as it is located right at the entrance to the area. You don’t need to equip it, as simply having it in your inventory is enough. Equipping the Slayer Seal disables achievements.
Once you reach the dungeon entrance, destroy the four chains using your sidearm and commune with the Chaos in the center. If you have the Slayer Seal in your inventory, Chaos will allow you to enter the secret room.
Explore the Desolate Keep Dungeon
After defeating the enemies present in the area, you will be able to get the loot. After the area becomes clear, investigate it to find all the valuables scattered throughout. Go upstairs to collect the loot lying on the way. In this section, there are a number of chests and one of them contains 500 coins.
After investigating the upper level, get back down and cross the room before turning left. Continue exploring the place, as there might be some items hidden in unexpected places.
In the next part, on the left side, you will find another chest beyond a big whose items you can pick up, as it would be useful to you later on in the game.
Collect Ventrium
Continue exploring until you reach a small cave-like section on the left containing Ventrium. The material is used at the Tarforge to upgrade weapons. You need to gather as much of this material as possible.
After that, you have to go in a straight line, staying close to the left side. This part of the location is dark and confusing as the layout loops back around. If you lose your direction, keep to the wall on your left and continue forward.
Get the Blackmarrow Key
Eventually, you will arrive at the hidden chest at the end of the area with candles lit on the ground. Open it to get the Blackmarrow Key. The key holds great importance for the search of the hidden room, as it opens different rewards at the hub.
After you get the key, you will need to return from the hidden area through the passage with the four chains and go back to the hub.
Use the Blackmarrow Key to Unlock Bonegrafted & Slytherin Shades
Starting at the hub, proceed to the wall and carry on ahead until you arrive at the platform. From there, take the right toward a row of coffins. Using the Blackmarrow Key it is possible to open the coffins. Each coffin is unlocked with one key and reveals a new Shade.
One of those coffins will unlock Bonegrafted Shade. Another unlocks Slytherin, which is Tiel’s Shade and features a completely different color.
All coffins hold additional Shades that one does not yet have access to; therefore, more Blackmarrow Keys are needed to unlock them.
